Truth be told Abel was very surprised at what he was asked to do. Izzy was a good friend and person so he was very willing to help her out. What they were doing though...well...that was a different thing. She apparent needed to bring a person to her family reunion. A odd thing to have but oh well. Abel didn't see the harm in lending her a hand with this though he honestly wasn't feeling good when the day arrived. The full moon was a good ways off though he had a terrible day, making himself wore out and he was honestly a tad fearful of his other side trying to come out during this. For now he tried to shove such thoughts aside as he walked alongside Izzy to her house, apparently her family was already there and waiting for the two of em. "Kind of odd how they're all already in your house...." Abel said though he didn't know what to say to follow up on it so it kind of ended oddly. Izzy

Izzy had been stressing all day about how this would go. She knew that some of her family that was rather old could tell when someone wasn't fully werewolf so she didn't know how they would treat Abel. Besides that she hadn't seen her family in years.
"Not really odd when you consider that they're all werewolves," Izzy said with a shrug.
Upon entering the house she was hugged by quite a few of her relatives. She kept her smile warm and tried to great as many people as she could, even picking a couple of her younger relatives up and spinning. Once everyone had said hi she went back and stood by Abel with a two year old second cousin in her arms.
"Great to be back with family," She said with a sigh, already wanting to just go running in the woods and get away from here.

Abel gave a shrug as he followed along, not really sure on how this would go. HOpefully it would go alright as he only had experience with supernatural with his mother. Oddly enough was a werewolf but still, only half of him was. When the door opened, Abel tried to stay relaxed and greet the people that came over to greet him. Izzy had long disappeared into the crowd and poor Abel was left to fend for himself.
"So...you're the one my dear Granddaughter has been hanging around with eh?" a elderly lady asked.
"Yes Ma'am...." Abel started though he was cut off by a younger girl who grabbed his left arm and held it out.
"He's got a good bit of muscle in this form, I wonder what he looks like fully changed. He surely has enough strength." the new person said, Abel took his arm back and backed away.
"Um...I...I guess. E..excuse me, please." Abel said as he walked away.
Giving a sigh, he was soon greeted by Izzy, whom was carrying a little kid with em.
"I see that." Abel muttered.

"Yeah, it's been a long time since I've seen any of them. A lot of the younger ones like this I haven't even met," She said with a smile at the child she was holding.
She had to admit it was going rather well at the moment so she was rather happy. Thankfully no one seemed to object of him to much at the moment. Izzy sighed again, this time a small bit more content than earlier.

At least she had more family than just her parents, really Abel didn't know anyone other than his mother. Okay not true, he met his dad but he didn't really get to know the guy mainly due to having no interest. Truth be told, he was glad that he didn't have any family reunions to go to, he didn't want to meet anyone else from his family just yet.
"I must say Izzy, you picked a rather fetching looking brute." The elderly lady said, clearly Izzy's grandmother; one of em at least. "Where'd ya find this young male anyway?"
"Brute?" Abel questioned, unaware that Brute was a term for a male wolf.

"I just ran into him around the city," She said vaguely with a smile. "Hey why didn't mom and dad come through with what looks like the majority of everyone else?" She asked, getting the attention off of Abel.
One of Izzy's siblings who had been walking by at the time froze in his tracks.
"You haven't heard yet?" He asked, Izzy just shook her head. "There was an attack, some other family wanting vengeance for something done generations ago that they had dug up. Mom and dad stayed and held them off, I-I saw them get killed," He said.
Izzy put down the toddler to keep from dropping her and went to hug her brother. She didn't mean to bring up something so sad.

Abel's question went ignored and rather quickly did something else come up. Oh boy...that wasn't good. Abel's expression weakened and showed that he was sad for the lose. At least her parents cared for their whole family to help them get out of where ever they all were before.
"I'm so sorry for your lose." Abel said, the Grandmother put a hand on Abel's shoulder.
"It's okay lad, nothing can be done. But with this knowledge our pack needs a new Alpha and Izzy well...she's very much the nomination by everyone to take over. She needs a mate now, a female can lead but a mate is needed to preserve the line." The Grandmother said, causing Abel and blink.
"A...are you suggesting...." though the Grandmother's smile answered his question. "Oh boy....um..."

"What he's trying to say grandma is that we aren't that close, I don't have anyone that I'm that close to yet," Izzy said with sad eyes as she swallowed her sadness.
"Good thing too," Came an older voice. An old man stepped out of the shadows clearly glaring at Abel. Izzy sighed, she knew this would happen.
"I'm surprised you're still alive," Izzy said, the man was her great grandfather and very set in his ways. The fact that Abel wasn't fully werewolf bothered him greatly.

"Oh Boris! Quite being so stuck up." the Granmother said; Boris was from Izzy's father's side of the family while the woman speaking was from her mother's side.
Feeling the familiar glaring, Abel looked at Boris. That same disapproving glare...oh god. No there where two people in his life that had those same eyes. Trying to get past that though, Abel took a breathe to try and relax.
"Sir, wouldn't you at least want Izzy to find someone she'd be happy with? Regardless of what they, cause really species shouldn't matter so long as you care for the other." Abel interjected in a respectable voice.

"This isn't being stuck up, it's following the old traditions," He said gruffly.
To him mixbreeds shouldn't exist, werewolves were a pure race and mixing anything with them was unheard of.
"She should love a werewolf and nothing else, not even a half breed like you," She said sourly.
"Okay that is it, there is nothing wrong with being part something else, or for that fact not a werewolf at all!" Izzy said, she knew plenty of people who weren't werewolves at all who were pretty okay at least! Granted some of them weren't around anymore because they moved away but still.

Abel cringed slightly as his body tried to shift, though he managed to hold it off for the time being. Taking a deeper breathe, he put his fingers together as he stood there.
"Were you ever in your kids life, Sir?" Abel questioned. "Cause from what I've watched about normal wolves, it's always the females who care for the pups and the lower members of a pack. Usually the male or Alpha male having pups with another, leaves the female to do the task of raising and caring for the pups. You Sir...remind me SO MUCH of this other guy, who wasn't around for his children at all. He left them for years on end with only the mother. NOw tell me, would you want that for Izzy? For Izzy to care for the children all on her own while her supposed purebred husband is out doing some other stuff when he should be with her?"
This was a touchy subject for Abel as it was pretty much his father all over agian. Despite this, his eyes were still closed. They usually opened in his other form only but at this rate, he doubted he could keep it in.
"Also you do see that werewolves and other werecreatures actually are half breeds to begin with. The term werewolf pretty much means 'Man Wolf', the were being for man and the wolf being the obvious thing." Abel added. "There's no such thing as a purebred, everything came form something else to be come what it is today."
"My my, knowledgeable young man ain't he?" the Grandmother said as she nudged Izzy.

The older man was rather surprised by Abel's knowledge and had to admit that he had a point. He wasn't there much for his kids until they were old enough to actually be considered "useful" to the pack. He couldn't think of a good comeback.
"Yeah he is," Izzy said with a smile and a light blush, she had played it off earlier but she really did like him, she just hoped no one noticed.

Granted bears weren't much better in the male department but Abel was going to be there for his kids if he ever had any. He wouldn't just leave them alone without any knowledge save for their wealth status being what they knew of him. He'd help them out, play any game they wanted, and be there in their lives. Seeing how the older gentleman reacted and went silent, it made Abel relax a bit more.
"So in all honesty Sir, you may keep your traditions but please let Izzy choose for herself what she wants in this world. Besides, if she's your next Alpha, she can change the laws if she wants to." Abel said. "Now please excuse me, I need to get a glass of water."
With that Abel attempted to leave the small circle of people, if he managed to, he'd go into the kitchen and remove his glasses, giving a sigh as he stood there. At least the door could close behind him.
"You should take him while he's free." the grandmother whispered.

The circle of family members parted for Abel as he passed. They were in awe that he could best one of the oldest members of the family. They mostly looked at Izzy once he was gone but quickly went back to what they we're doing before the argument broke out.
"W-what do you mean?" Izzy asked trying to get her blush to go away but it just got worse, darkening to the point she tried to hide behind her hands so that no one else noticed.

"Darling, if anyone can make old Boris shut his yapping muzzle, they are a great individual! You should steal that young brute as your mate before the ceremony. He has a way with words, he has a fire in his heart and he stood up to some old dog who really needs a lesson taught to em." The grandmother whispered to her. "He's alpha material missy, and trust me, you don't want a bunch of brutes from neighboring packs begging for your paws. They take it the wrong way when you choose someone else. So before all that mess starts, you should claim that handsome brute as yours."
Abel gave rubbed his eyes though he gave a slight hiss as he felt his clothes get a bit smaller. At least it was mainly just fur making everything tighter and that it was only under his clothes. Setting his glasses on the counter, he tried to relax.
